Pop goes the Champagne!! I've closed my first deal!!! Thank you Bro Bear for referring the client to me :) Going to collect the cheque and sign the OTP tml. Hope everything goes smoothly!! Will only get my comm 3 months later... 1% comm den kanna cut by co... (the cut is worse than CPF deduction!!) Not much left liao :( At least better than nothing. Little by little I'll earn more n more. Next is to hit my first year target. May Lady Luck continue to shine on me :)

Stands out from the crowd

What makes a good agent? How ppl choose an agent n stick to the agent to service them to buy/sell/rent a property? I asked myself these questions today while thinking how to design my flyer and what to write on it. How can my flyer stand out from those junk mails you receive in ur mailbox and not get thrown away by ppl wo even taking a look at it? This is tough.

I tried to think of a tagline. Something ppl see n will rem. But i'm not some kind of superbrand like Nike ( Just do it.) or Samsung (It's not hard to imagine.). Will ppl even notice it?

Then I thut of this:

3 weeks

3 weeks into my new job as a property agent. I haven close a single deal yet :( Yah, I have clients at hand searching for them their dream house but I can't get to slp at night to dream. I have one week left to meet my personal target. To close my first deal within the first month. Maybe I'm too slack? Maybe I am. Sigh. Really appreciate those who referred clients to me :) Thank God I'm not anti-social in nature and I've always treated those around me well. That's why I'm been loved :P

Thank you for being supportive and showering me with your concerns my dear family and friends. And also, my dear BB. For supporting me emotional, mentally and financially. I'm touched.

Everyday I'm thinking,

How to be a good agent and what is considered good service to my clients?

How to maintain a good relationship with them?

How can I get more ppl to engage my service to help them buy/sell/rent their property?

BB says I need to close my first deal to build up my confidence. I'm trying. But not much luck lately :(

I can't fall asleep at night thinking abt all these. And I made my BB worried. But I'm not giving up. 9 more days before May is up. I need to close that first deal.

GE 2011

The craze is on and you can hear ppl discussing abt it anywhere n everywhere. I have never been interested in politics (yikes! Boring!) and I 'do not have a choice' to vote in the previous GE. Being in the public sector previously, I felt that I was been pressurized to vote for the Whites. If not, my life in XXX might not be smooth sailing? I chose to take the neutral stand. Well, my career path in XXX still sux. I'm so glad that I'm OUT!

I'm in the hot Hot HOT GRC, Aljunied. My vote is precious. GY is a nice MP but I really like LTK and find myself nodding during his speeches. I din attend any of the rallies, I juz burnt midnight oil watching them online. Haha. The power of new media. I enjoy listening to the speeches at the comfort of my home. I like the smirk look on LTK's face when he talks abt the tiger. And the Ms Chairman, I listened to one of her speech online before knowing who she really is. I was like 'WOW' who is this lady. She's GOOOOOD!! I would say, "Thumbs UP!! For Ms Chairman! Way to go!! You really voiced out what we commoners wanted to say!!"

Heated discussion were on the 2 Lings. The Kate Spade really cannot make it. The first look at her made me feel that she's so fake, spoilt, can't really do much for us face. Well, subsequent incidents proved most of my feeling right. She's a stomper, behaves poorly in front of the media, merely a puppet. As for the other Ms Hot Fav, my impression of her was so-so. Juz had the doubt that she's 24, can she really meet the mark? Well, she had proven her worth. I'm impressed with her performance and I'm getting to like her :)

I do have to agree that the opposition party may not have the ability to be the government YET. In time to come, the Whites would not be able to hold the fort either. With the new generation coming in, wiser & educated, does the Whites still thinking they can be easily scared off by the repeated 'threatens' on foreign investors, etc?

I may be biased but this is how the Singaporeans of my generation are thinking. I was even shocked that one of my ex-col was been 'warned' for posting anti-Whites and pro opposition stuff on FB. I'm like WTF! Where's our freedom of speech? Do we really have a choice in making that vote?

I believe there are good Whites in the gang. But there's a limit to who they can do, they are been outnumbered. Ultimately, the tribal head makes the decision.

That's how things work in the public sector. If the proposal aim is to help Singaporeans BUT incur cost, sorry, rejected. Project that cut cost (may it benefit the citizens anot) Approve! All these cost being saved. Where did it go?? Is the public service really to serve the citizens? Some do but minority. And being the minority, they hold no power to make a difference.

Now in GE 2011, is the time we can make a difference.
